About Folk Series-1: Folk Series-1 is another a timeless resource that draws primarily from traditional American, English, Irish, and other folk music sources. It is a work in progress that will grow over time. Initially, Folk Series tracks are available for download purchase only. Folk Series-1 features a unique solo instrumental and/or small ensemble approach that complements the larger arrangements used in our Classics Series libraries. Each track was carefully selected for its melodic qualities, as well as to provide a library of real variety and diversity.
Based on Original Scores: Our products are derived only from original scores and arrangements, as created (in most cases) by the composers themselves. These scores are then used as the basis for our own, specially created digital orchestral adaptations. RioVista-Media music tracks are not loops or short excerpts ... most are full-length adaptations. When we did create an excerpt, all of the important melodic and thematic material remained intact.
Professional Quality: The source instruments and musicians who make up the "digital" orchestra used in our music collections are select "virtual" players from the world-renowned Vienna and Boston Symphony orchestras, as well as several other similar sources. To find out more about these exciting sounds and technologies, we suggest a visit to the Vienna Instruments (VSL), SoniVOX, and other websites via our links page. Their music sample libraries are now commonly used in television and film productions.
Orchestras, Ensembles, Solo Instruments, and More! Our libraries feature a diverse set of collections that include large orchestras, intimate ensembles, and chamber sections. We also use solo instruments such as the guitar, harp, and piano, as well as many different solo wind, brass, and stringed instruments.
Light Mixes You Can Work With: All of our production tracks are mixed with a light reverb so that you can more easily layer them into your productions, and re-mix according to your own needs!
