Nature Series-1 is available in Standard Definition (SD) only. NS2-NS7 are available in both widescreen SD and 1080i HDV. The primary source camera for Nature Series-1 is the JVC GY-DV5000. The primary source camera for NS2-NS7 is the Canon XL-H1.
NS1: NTSC/PAL Product Information
The following applies to the Nature Series-1 library:
- NTSC Resolution = 720 x 480
- NTSC Frames per Second = 29.97 (interlaced)
- PAL Resolution = 720 x 576 (or 720 x 480, upon request)
- PAL Frames per Second = 25 (interlaced)
- Screen Aspect Ratio = 4:3 (standard screen size)
- QuickTime Codec = MPEG-4 Video (also available in Photo-JPEG)
NS2-NS7: NTSC/PAL Product Information
The following applies to the Nature Series-2 thru Nature Series-7 libraries:
- NTSC Resolution = 720 x 480
- NTSC Frames per Second = 29.97 (interlaced)
- PAL Resolution = 720 x 576
- PAL Frames per Second = 25 (interlaced)
- NTSC/PAL Screen Aspect Ratio = 16:9 (available in widescreen only)
- NTSC/PAL QuickTime Codec = Photo-JPEG
All of our Standard-Definition (SD) footage was benchmarked with the JVC TM-H1375SU NTSC/PAL monitor. Please note that in order to see the true color and quality, these clips must be viewed on a qualified NTSC/PAL video display (such as television), as opposed to a computer monitor. Our SD digital video footage is designed to be imported into NLE applications such as Apple’s Final Cut, Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro, Grass Valley Edius, Sony Vegas, and others. Once imported into one of these applications and viewed with an NTSC/PAL reference monitor, the real quality will be apparent.
The QuickTime files are intended for preview and portability purposes only. All of our footage products are delivered as QuickTime movie files. For preview purposes, we recommend QuickTime version 7 or greater. If you do not already have Apple’s QuickTime Player, you can download it using the link given here.
